Directors

Edward Kaluwa - Managing Director: Holds advanced IATA/FIATA Diplomas alongside another Diploma in Credit Management and have 30 years of practical experience in the Freight Forwarding Industry. For 17 years, he served in various supervisory positions with Manica before assuming the position of Surface Operations Manager. In 1990, he joined Glens Removals as its Shipping Manager, but quit four years later to exploit his own potential and expertise through self-employment in 1994 when he founded Combine Cargo (Mw) Ltd. A focused entrepreneur, Eddie has devoted all his energy to bring the Company to its present level through his participatory management style. Eddie is married to Anna and have 4 daughters. Eddie spends his free time playing squash and jogging.

Anna Kaluwa (Mrs): After completing her Secondary School education she trained in Secretarial studies and worked as Secretary with Chizumila Msiska and Company a Law firm for eight years. In 1998, she decided to team up with Eddie as Director for Secretarial and Administrative functions which she anchors. Now possesses in-depth experience in Operations and general Accounts and has a certificate in Human Resources Management. She is responsible for all Executive Management matters. Aged 48, she likes jogging for leisure.

Ross C. Magomero: Ross has been on Combine Cargo Mw Ltd board of directors since its formation in 1994. He worked for BAT Malawi in various managerial capacities from 1964 until his retirement in 1992. He was also seconded to Nigeria Tobacco Company between 1989 to 1992 as Deputy Director responsible for special projects. Ross established Rokiwa Entrprises which deals in electrical appliances.

James Masumbo: James Masumbu, a lawyer by proffession, was born on May 26th, 1970.He graduated from chancellor college with LLB (Honors) Degree in 1993. He worked for Savjan and Company (Legal Practitioners) from 18th August 1993 to January 1996. In January 1996, he was offered Partnership in the firm of Lawson and Company where he worked until 31st October, 1999. On 1st November 1999, he moved on to set up Tembenu Masumbu and Company in partnership with Samuel Tembenu. James is married to Stella and have 2 children.In his free time, he likes listening to good music.

Emmanuel Somozani - Sales & Marketing Director: Aged 48 and qualified in Marketing and General Management. Worked for Manica for over 15 years in various management positions until in 1998 when he joined Combine Cargo Malawi. A devout Catholic, Emmanuel believes in producing best results in everything that he does. He is married to Violet with whom they have 5 lovely children.

Managers

Eston Chimaliro - Personnell and Management Consultant Aged 61, married with five children, he has over 30 years of practical experience in Human Resources Management and Training. Previously worked in the Civil Service (teacher) then in Private Sector as Personnel and Training Officer (Portland Cement) but also as freelance of consultant and deals with Combine Cargo Malawi in Personnel and Management on part-time basis. He holds Dip.Ed; Dip.Pm;B.Soc.Sci. CMPIT

Mercy Kayanula - Sales Manager Holds a Diploma in CIPS and has embarked on CIM Level II. She has been Company Purchasing Officer (Blantyre Hotels) for seven years; Purchasing and Stores Manager (David Whitehead & Sons Ltd) before joining Combine Cargo Malawi. She came with a lot of experience to the Company and is keen to see it expand in scope. She is aged 38 and loves her job.

Eileen Bouton (Mrs) - Removals Manager A professionally qualified Secretary, she has also acquired other skills and knowledge in he freight industry. She has previously worked for Unilever South-East Africa for 15 years, French; Montgomery Oldfield; Glens, Maltraco before joining Combine Cargo Malawi. Aged 51, she has a spirit of collective commitment for the wider benefit of the Company.

Aiden Ziwoya - Management Accountant Aiden is a Diplomate Accountant and also ACCA Level II. He has a wealth of experience having previously worked with Unilever as Assistant Accountant and as Management Accountant with Candlex before joining the management team here at Combine Cargo Malawi. He is aged 49 and is committed to his profession. He is married to Leah with whom they have four children.

Fremont Tembo - Assistant Accountant Aged 45 years. A Diplomate Accountant with ACCA Parts I & II. He has worked for Malawi Railways for 20 years, later joined Finance Corporate Services for 5 months where he did Consultancy work with ESCOM. He then moved to Top Advertising for 5 months before joining Combine Cargo in 2002. Fremont believes in teamwork and dedication to duty. A Presbyterian, he is married and has four children.
